Intro to Core on the Hyper Pro: A Beginner-Friendly Workout

If you're new to the Hyper Pro, this workout is a perfect starting point. Designed to help you get familiar with its versatile modes and adjustments, the Intro to Core session focuses on building foundational core strength while exploring the incredible range of movements the Hyper Pro offers.

This routine is ideal for those just starting out with the Hyper Pro or looking for a core workout that emphasizes control, stability, and proper form.

The Workout: Core Foundation

Complete 3 rounds of the following movements:

Leg Raise 3 x 10

The leg raise targets your lower abs, helping build strength and stability in your core.

How to Perform

  1. Set your Hyper Pro to Decline Sit-Up Mode
  2. Lie on your back and grab the handles on the foot-plate for support.
  3. Raise your leg as high as you can while keeping your back and shoulders on the bench.
  4. Control your legs on the way back down to the starting position

Russian Twist 3 x 10

Build rotational strength and improve core stability with this classic oblique exercise.

How to Perform

  1. Keep your Hyper Pro in Decline Sit-Up Mode.
  2. Fasten your feet in between the ankle rollers with your glutes resting firmly on the Nordic Pad.
  3. Sit up straight and start the movement by twisting from side to side in a controlled manner.

Pro Tip: Move slowly and avoid letting momentum take over to maximize engagement.

45° Back Extension 3 x 10

Strengthen your lower back and glutes while enhancing overall core stability.

How to Perform

  1. Transition your Hyper Pro into 45-Degree Back Extension mode.
  2. Fasten your feet into the ankle rollers, pressing firmly against the foot-plate.
  3. Make sure the hip pads are positioned just below your hip bones.
  4. Hinge forward until you feel a stretch.
  5. Keep the movement slow & controlled, especially if you are new to it.

Pro Tip: Pause briefly at the top for added activation.

Reverse Hyper 3 x 15

This movement promotes blood flow to your lower back while strengthening your glutes and hamstrings.

How to Perform

  1. Set your Hyper Pro to 90-Degree Back Extension Mode
  2. Attach your GHD attachment to the main frame.
  3. Using the handles on the foot-plate, assist yourself onto the machine.
  4. Your hips should be at the top of the GHD pad with your legs dangling behind you.
  5. Start the movement by lifting your legs until you are fully contracting your glutes.
  6. Slowly lower legs back to the starting position.

Pro Tip: Focus on controlled movement to maximize recovery benefits and prevent momentum.

GHD Sit-Up 3 x 10

Challenge your core with this intermediate-level exercise that stretches and strengthens your abs through their full range of motion.

How to Perform

  1. Keep your Hyper Pro in 90-Degree Back Extension mode.
  2. Put your feet in between the ankle rollers with your backside resting on top of the GHD pad.
  3. Lean back until you feel a stretch along your abs and hip flexors.

Pro Tip: Keep your movement controlled to engage the core muscles effectively.
